You'll be working with a system that has a competitive edge, with a unique carbonated cleaning process, developed by Harris Research (the Chem-Dry parent in America) which is unique and whose solutions are superior. Because we don't need to pour large volumes of hot water and detergents onto the carpets in order to clean them, your customers carpets will dry in approximately one hour and will remain cleaner longer than carpets cleaned by any other method. It has been said that once you clean your carpets the Chem-Dry way you will never use any other method.
• Complete training course.
• Business supplies, such as cards, letterheads, invoices, brochures, shirts and web site.

Some franchise systems advertise as franchises but really you are effectively just buying a job. When you expand they want more money from you. This is not the case with Chem-Dry. You are in the driver’s seat with your business. We do not schedule your day or give you minimum targets. You can grow your business to a multiple van organisation or stay as a one person business. 5. Easy Flat Rate royalty structure

A flat monthly royalty means the more you make the more you keep. The current royalty is $492 per month (or $113.50 per week). This means that when you perform your first job of the week you have more than covered your royalty. All the jobs for the rest of the week are for you.

Many franchises systems charge an advertising levy in conjunction with the franchise royalty. One of our competitors for example charges $1700 per month. We do not have an advertising levy at all. We do have a pay as you go system which is completely optional. This means that we will provide you with work from our advertising and if you want the work then you pay a percentage of the job. This is a one off fee and then that customer is yours from then on. You can turn this pay as you go system off and on as you need it. We find that many new franchisees use this system when they first start but after awhile opt out because they either have enough customers or have learnt to find their own. Hardly any of our longer–term existing franchisees use this system because they have already built up their own clientele or 'run' as some call it. However, it's good to know it's available when you start out.

What this means to you is that as a Chem-Dry franchisee, you'll be able to remove stains that other companies leave behind, and because our parent company spends so much on constant research to stay ahead of the competition, the small carpet cleaner operating on his own cannot keep up with us. All products developed by Harris Research are for the exclusive use of Chem-Dry franchisees. None of our competitors can buy them.

As a Chem–Dry franchisee you'll find there are new and improved products regularly being introduced to maintain or increase our edge over other cleaners.

Your product is patented by US Patent until 2018, and the Australian Patent has also been secured for the Hot Carbonated H.C.U system. This effectively denies access to our process by the competition.

To provide total support for your business, Harris Technology has its own DVD and web–video department. In house training videos are produced and are available to all franchisees.

We run seminars for all our Australian franchisees and an international seminar once a year is available for all our franchisees, worldwide. We also have a public relations section where we gather referrals and endorsements. Regular visits in your state are also available several times throughout the year.

  A range of solutions solve problem stains such as pet urine, rust, coffee and red cordial.
• Equipment
  Chem-Dry has tested and recommended all equipment supplied with your franchise. If you should sustain equipment breakdown at any time, our warehouse holds a comprehensive range of spare parts to facilitate fast replacement or repair.
• Training
  Meetings are held regularly. Training is one of the cornerstones of the Chem-Dry System. All prospective franchisees are required to be trained which includes such topics as customer service, basic business skills, financial management, communication skills and establishing a customer base, just to name a few. There is considerable time set aside to instruct franchisees in the use of carpet cleaning equipment with a focus on occupational health and safety requirements. Additionally, training videos and manuals are available to train your staff.
